D’Orazio and Zerkle are hitting .484 and .452 for the season respectively and Taylor McCord has a .438 average, seven home runs and 33 runs batted in.

Brett Barron of Georgia Southern fired a 9-under-par 63 for the individual lead.

Marshall golfers Cole Moore and Alex Weiss shot 70 and 71 respectively. Thomas Frazier shot 75, Clark Robinson 76, Ben Roeder 80 and Will Evans 82.

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Marshall fell into 19th place (21 teams) after Friday’s first round of the Furman Intercollegiate at the Furman University Golf Club.

Sam Finfer hit a two-run homer for Marshall (10-9, 2-2) in the fourth inning and went ahead 3-2 in the sixth on Shane Hanon’s run-scoring single. The Golden Eagles (18-4, 4-0) tied it 3-3 in the home half of the sixth when Matt Wallner homered.

Western Kentucky lost its last five games. The Hilltoppers began conference play by sweeping Middle Tennessee, but was swept by Florida Atlantic.

Saturday’s second round begins at 9:30 a.m. followed by the final round Sunday.

shows less ringing artefacts than libjpeg (middle) without requiring a larger file size.

This results in higher quality images at a reduced file size, but also comes with a tradeoff in speed. Google’s engineers say that Guetzli is currently significantly slower than a standard JPEG encoder. Users of the current Windows version are reporting conversion times of several minutes for a single large JPEG.

At the moment, JPEGmini is still a good option for everyday use as it is a polished end-user product, complete with plugins for Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. However, a free algorithm such as Guetzli, once the speed issues are addressed, will most definitely pose threat to paid-for products like JPEGmini which hope to charge for exactly the same final result.

However a new, and free to use, compression technology from Google now hopes to revolutionise the JPEG where BGP has failed. Announced earlier this month, Guetzli is a new open source algorithm which creates JPEG files 35% smaller than typical current methods.

The Guetzli encoder works by increasing the level of compression while creating the JPEGs, leaving the standard decompression algorithms for reading and displaying the images unchanged. The increase in compression comes from a new and more sophisticated model of human colour perception than is used by current JPEG encoders.

The crucial difference between Guetzli and BGP is that the latter requires new code to be written before it can be read. Standard browsers and image software would simply fail to read the files without specific support for the format.

KAMPALA – IAAF President Sebastian Coe has said that his first major ambitions to Africa that included hosting a continental championship and holding a golden league have been fulfilled.

World champions Asbel Kiprop, Paul Tergat, Faith Kipyegon, Kiprotich, Tegla Loroupe and Shasha Gollish of Canada thanked IAAF and hosts Uganda and wished the Pearl of Africa a successful event.

He called for young leaders in athletics federations around the world.

He said IAAF is working to ensure that Russian athletes come back into the sport.

Coe, who flew into the country on Friday for Sunday’s 2017 IAAF World Cross Country Championship, addressed a press conference on Saturday.

Coe hailed the Kampala event for attracting the biggest number of participating countries (59) since 2006 and thanked Uganda hosting the upcoming one-day event.

On his part, the minister of state for sports Charles Bakkabulindi hailed IAAF for trusting Uganda with the event and said Uganda now has gained experience to host other international events.

Flanked by world athletics champions including Uganda’s Stephen Kiprotich, the IAAF chief also called on European athletics federations to take more interest in cross country events.

If counties like Aurora’s ability to avoid overweight fines is due to a conscious effort from area haulers, Broers said it would be a “great day.”

“It’s kind of a horse apiece as far as my understanding of it,” Broers said.

Capt. John Broers, district commander of the S.D. Motor Carrier Services, said spotting lawbreakers is “way simpler than you think.” What’s harder is catching people in the act of breaking the law in the many rural areas of the state where there’s not a lot of truck traffic. With that in mind, Broers said the division focuses on efficiency and targets point of entries to the state in counties like Minnehaha, Meade and Roberts.

Broers said trucks do damage when the pavement surface flexes underneath the tires, causing cracks that let moisture in and erodes the ground beneath. This can cause an entire stretch of road to begin “crackling,” bubbling up or create potholes.

“The fine isn’t really even to be anything that’s going to repair,” said Bode. “It’s just to try to remind people not to overload and not to be abusive to roads, it’s not to recoup the expense.”

The division nabbed $1,932,088.88 worth of fines in 2016 compared to $1,409,294.30 in 2015, with a hefty portion of fines collected at a bridge off Interstate 90 in Humboldt. In the effort to protect a vulnerable bridge in Humboldt, a state-high $503,757.30 in fines were collected in Minnehaha County. Broers also said the division has been able to dedicate more staff to enforce weight limits on South Dakota roads and highways, contributing to the increase.

Which tax software is best for you?

More than half of Americans, myself included, lack the confidence or skills to file taxes on their own.

“I’ve had two or three clients over the past years that have used Turbo Tax, checked the wrong boxes, missed something or didn’t add something, and they were criminal cases and they were prosecuted. So you really have to be careful,” said Tax Attorney Robert Fedor.

MARIETTA — LifeWay Christian Resources and Going Beyond ministries are partnering to simulcast Bible teacher and best-selling author Priscilla Shirer, live from Tulsa, Oklahoma, on April 8. Zion Baptist Church is serving as a host location for the Marietta/Metro Atlanta area.

Anthony Evans, Priscilla’s younger brother, is slated to lead worship for the event. Evans is a popular Christian recording artist who was featured on NBC’s reality show “The Voice” in 2012.

The Priscilla Shirer Simulcast kicks off on Saturday, April 8 at 9 a.m. and ends at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 covering one full day of music and worship, including continental breakfast and lunch; sessions led by Priscilla Shirer; and opportunities for fellowship with other women from the Marietta/Metro Atlanta community.

Priscilla Shirer Live, sponsored by Nashville-based publishing company LifeWay Christian Resources, will feature Shirer’s dynamic storytelling and passionate Bible teaching.

Call Zion Baptist Church’s staff at 770-427-8749 to facilitate ticket purchase and registration, or visit www.zbcmarietta.org. To guarantee instructional materials and meals, participants are asked to register during the week of March 26 through April 2.

The event, which also features a unique prayer time, both challenges and encourages women to know God’s Word and grow deeper in their faith.

Shirer has authored a number of published Bible studies, books, and devotionals specifically for women. She also starred in the Christian film “War Room.”

“What an amazing day,” said Amy Bertsche, one of 400-plus ladies who hosted the Priscilla Shirer simulcast at their church last year. “This was our first time hosting, and we were blown away by the worship music, Priscilla’s messages, and the prayer times. We felt very much a part of the live event and our women participated just as if they were in the arena.”
